SWWCCA IS ORGANIZING A LOCAL BOY SCOUT TROOP! WE ALREADY HAVE A SPLENDID GIRL SCOUT TROOP IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND IT IS OUR WISH TO HELP BOTH TROOPS PROVIDE A HEALTHY RECREATIONAL OUTLET FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. WE HAVE ARRANGED FOR BOTH TROOPS TO HAVE A NEWLY RENOVATED MEETING PLACE IN THE HILLSBORO/LEIPERS FORK RECREATION CENTER. PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR DETAILS. Leipers Fork is definitely a kid-friendly locale. There are many great activities for kids at the library and the community center. There is the summer reading program, arts & crafts classes, magic shows and all kinds of great stuff. Be sure to check out the athletic programs sponsored by the Hillsboro Recreation Association at the community center. They have softball leagues and basketball teams that play their games on weekends and evenings. Many of the local churches have vacation Bible schools and other great stuff for the little people. Check out the event calendar since there are many activities suitable for kids and families. Of note are the movies every Saturday night at the Lawn Chair Theater during warm weather months. Many more activities both free and extremely affordable are a short drive away. The community center in Fairview has an outdoor pool.

The Williamson County Recreation Complex in Franklin has an indoor pool and many other amenities. Both places also have an array of activities available for children of all ages. The Renaissance Center in Dickson has a splendid
array of arts related activities and programs for everyone.
